I am
Starry Starry Knight
Shimmering she-knight mounted in glory
Serveying, recording my valley of dispair;
of distraught
feelings of disoloution-
enchanting disenchantment
moaning in damned depression
never-ending sadness,
daunting death
I am
Starry Starry Knight, seeing
through the red-black darkness
by pinpricks of light
watch and record misconception,
realization, helplessness, disarray
silent-
though my page screams.
I am
Starry Starry Knight
magnificent in my penetrable armor
stable, questioning
historian
detached and yet encompassed
involved and silent
keeping constant vigil
on this cliff
I bend one way as far as the other
I stand steadfast
strong.
I am
Starry Starry Knight
mounted on my dark and shining beast
armed well with quill and parchment
fighting no one yet
screaming loudly, whining softly
never a sound.
pinpricks of tiny light
glow in the red-black night
I know not sun.
